D&D 4th Edition

After my trip I finally picked up the 4th edition D&D book, and the new game looks a lot simpler. But I’m not sure I’m a total fan yet – all the powers seem a bit much. However it also seems to have made enough changes from 3.5th edition that really I need to create a new application.

Now obviously not all of the code will be new, but a lot of it will be. The old program will still be available and updated.

Any idea when you’ll have something available for 4e? I’ve really enjoyed D&D Manager so far but it’s too difficult to adapt the v3.5 settings to 4e rules making the program a bit useless for the new campaigns. Thanks!

Yeah I agree, the new rules are a bit different, so I’m not surprised.

I want to keep doing improvements to the old version as well so its going to take a while. I’ll put the new source code up online but if you (or anyone else) is interested in helping to make the new version let me know by email (matthew@matthewhutton.com) – as otherwise its not going to get done quickly at all :( .

I really only know hardware and enough software to fix the crap PCs at work. Programming and code are little more than numbers and letters and stuff to me. I’ll ask around though and see if any of my other geek pals can give a hand.
